This month FAMU Graduate Student, DeMarcus Turner, joined the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve's Sci-Cafe' to discuss his current research into the hydrologic dispersal of microplastics through the ACF basin. His research, which is ongoing at the reserve, looks into point sources for the pollutants as well as how the particles spread is impacted by the damming of the ACF river system.
